The Uma Maheshwar Temple

 

The Uma Maheshwor Temple, also known as the Uma Maheshwari Temple, is situated at the highest point of Kirtipur, which is an ancient city with a rich history located on a hilltop southwest of Kathmandu, Nepal.
This temple is in the top of the hill. We can enjoy the view of Kathmandu Valley and the mountains like Langtang (लाङटाङ) Dorge Lakkpa (दोर्जे लक्पा) Chobhu Bhamure (चोबु भामुरी) and Gaurishankar (गौरीशंकर)
मन्दिरको निर्माण 1655 AD मा सिद्दी नर्सिङ मल्ल को छोरा Rautra vishwanath Babu बाट भएको थियो।

Uma Maheshwari :
Ma uma maheshwari is one of the sapt matrikas or seven divine mothers of the universe in Hindusim.

She is regarded as the shakti or the powers of Lord shiva. As lord shiva is called maheshwar, and the goddess shakti is called maheshwari.

Uma maheshwari Pooja:
Uma maheshwari puja is a devotional ritual dedicated to Goddess Uma (parvati) and lord Maheshwara (shiva), the divine couple in Hindu mythology. This puja is performed to invoke their blessings for a happy and harmonious married life.
